Hello, we are Sue and Barry and since 2005 we have been introducing Cornwall to a totally new eating experience here at Pie Mash and Liquor in the centre of one the country’s most popular resorts and tourist centres, Newquay.

Traditionally many think of fish and chips as being our staple diet but Londoners and those from the south east favour pie mash and liquor which we now provide to an ever increasing number of people eager to experience this traditional dish for the first time ever! So this is our speciality although we also cater for those wanting a a great British Breakfast (served all day) or the taste of traditional Cornwall and we do this via our own home made Cornish Pie which is prepared to our own secret recipe and on offer through this establishment and via wholesalers.

The pies used in our pie, mash and peas are sourced from the finest London suppliers. After all, the dish originated and is at its best in the East End so now through our contacts it is now available still at its glorious best and in the West End....the west end of the country, Newquay in Cornwall! The pies themselves, as with all good dishes, are prepared using a long established family recipe and the finest mince, the mash is mashed potato the like of which you have not tasted before and the liquor is the gravy, unique to this dish, prepared with great care to obtain the right viscosity and because of the content of Parsley and other ingredients, somewhat green in colour. Absolutely delicious.

At Pie Mash and Liquor though we offer the complete eating experience with a choice of starter and sweet to round off your meal. We also have a well stocked bar. Popular starters include Prawn Cocktail and as with all our dishes the produce is sourced locally, so it certainly is not a case of “long time, no sea!” Pie Mash and Liquor is open all year, from 9am until 5pm during the winter months and from 8am to 10pm during the extended tourist season, so you can join us for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. A takeaway facility is available and within the Newquay locality there is a delivery service.
